Event: ACT meeting in Bucharest

The interdisciplinary international Ageing+Communication+Technologies Project (ACT) held its annual meeting between September 24 and 27 in the city of Bucharest, Romania. Loredana Ivan, from the National University of Political and Administrative Studies (SNSPA) and GLocal Mob member, hosted the meeting at the facilities of the College of Communication and Public Relations of the university.

The meeting gathers members of the project on an annual basis giving them the opportunity to share their experiences in ACT-related scholarly activities during the last year. Some of the activities discussed along the three sessions were results of research projects funded by ACT, summer schools supported by the project, presentation of existing thematic groups in the project, discussion of potential projects and collaborations, and debate about discourses of ageing and technology.

Mireia Fernández-Ardèvol, Andrea Rosales, and Daniel Blanche participated in all three sessions representing the ACT Project’s presence in Barcelona, Spain.
