The Open University of Catalonia (UOC) calls for grant applications in the doctoral program “Information and Knowledge Society” for the 2020-2021 academic course beginning in September of the present year. The deadline for applications is Wednesday, February 12, 2020.
The grants are addressed to full-time students working on-site at the UOC for three years. The Information and Knowledge Society (IKS) doctoral program centers on the interdisciplinary analysis of the intersections of pervasive information and communication technologies (ICTs) and all areas of human activity—culture, economy, politics, education, media, business, public service, among others.
If you are interested in conducting your doctoral research on the topics of (1) innovation and technopolitical autonomy, (2) social movements and networked democracy, (3) ageing and digital technologies, or (4) digital divides and development, you should start by requesting access to the IKS doctoral program and contact us as soon as possible for advice and support in your application.
