Conference and Debate (CNSC): ‘Fake News, Frames, and Pseudocracy

CNSC organizes the presentation of the latest book by Víctor Sampedro, Professor of Public Opinion and Political Communication at Universidad Rey Juan Carlos (URJC). The event will take place on Tuesday, November 7th, from 10:30 to 12:00 CET, at Room U01 in Can Jaumandreu (The U Buuilding), at Carrer Peru 52.

The event will be held both virtually and in person, will involve the presentation of the book “Teorías de la comunicación y el poder. Opinión pública y pseudocracia” by Sampedro himself, followed by a subsequent debate.

Registration will close on Monday, November 6th, at 2:00 PM (CET).

About the Author: Víctor Sampedro holds a Doctorate in Information Sciences from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid (UCM). He is a Professor of Public Opinion and Political Communication at Universidad Rey Juan Carlos (URJC) in Madrid and a Visiting Professor-Researcher in Communication and Politics at the Universidad Pompeu Fabra (UPF) in Barcelona. He is described as a “key thinker at the crossroads of Communication, Political Science, and Sociology” (Akal Publishing). Sampedro, utilize a post-disciplinary approach, which examines the relationships between socioeconomic, political, and communicative power.
