#JAM 18- III MetaDecidim Annual Conference: from social to political networks

Next November 28 will be held the III edition of the Annual Meetings Metadecidim (JAM), the annual assembly of the community of Decidim, the digital platform of participation for cities and organizations.

From social to political networks, during this meeting will be presented the latest version of Decidim, which incorporates new improvements and features that make it a reference of political network; In turn, the event will serve to present the current state of development of the platform in its three layers (technological, community, political), the most recent success stories of organizations and administrations that use the platform and its main challenges for the future

The JAM18 are held at a crucial moment for the project. As it has developed as a platform for democratic participation, international interest and its adoption have been growing in various cities. In turn, the project faces a key challenge: to shape a governance model of its Metadecidim community.

The JAM is an opportunity for the Decidim community, citizens and in general anyone connected to the productive ecosystem of Decidim (institutions, companies and social organizations) to meet, discuss and rethink collectively and in an open, transparent and collaborative way the future of Decidim so that each day is more useful for the participatory democracy of cities and organizations around the world.

Program

This third edition of the JAM is celebrated with the conference of the International Observatory of Participatory Democracy (OIDP) and includes the BCN Democratic Cities session, the international conference that explores the possibilities offered by participation technologies, digital tools and the participatory processes that are transforming the cities and that it takes as motto this year Democratic cities: rethinking the future of the city and social transformation. The event is part of the + Biennial program.
